When you should make your AdSense application

January 5, 2015 By Daniel Dob 1 Comment

AdSense is still one of the biggest advertising networks in the world. It caters to thousands of clients and pays site owners millions each month for displaying ads on their websites. AdSense is a lucrative source of income, but that doesn’t mean you should jump into applying right away. So, when is it the best time to apply for AdSense?download

When You Have Enough Content Posted

AdSense uses the content of your site to generally determine the kind of ads that should be displayed. In order to be approved as an AdSense publisher, you need to have sufficient amount of content on your website.

It is also necessary to keep your content themed and segmented. A tech blog, for example, is more likely to be approved than a personal blog with a very wide range of content.

When You Have Good Web Design

We’re not talking about fancy animations or bright colours here. A good web design is one that makes the site itself very usable and of course searches engine-friendly. You can start by designing a consistent navigation throughout the site. Keep categories and pages accessible and your site will be as functional as it can be.

Avoid using excessive design elements, especially large pictures and multimedia elements, so that your page load time remains fast.

When You  Have Read and Follow Google’s Policies

Yes, there are terms and conditions surrounding the use of AdSense. You can visit Google AdSense’s main page to find out more about the policies in effect. Some of the most frequently broken terms are the use of excessive keywords. If you are still using this kind of practice and stuff as many keywords as you can to your content, you will most likely get your AdSense application rejected.

When You Have Set Up Privacy Policy, About and Contact Pages

Yes, Google actually find these pages important. Start by adding a clear and concise About page. Explains who you are and why you are blogging or setting up the website. Next, make sure visitors can contact you easily through a dedicated Contact page.

For websites where logins are necessary, or if you are collecting user information, a privacy policy page is a must. All you have to do is explain how all information gathered will not be used for purposes other than what you have explained.

When You Have Dropped Other Ad Networks Off

Google AdSense doesn’t really like to compete with other ad networks; to be fair, almost all ad networks want exclusive access to a website. In order for your AdSense application to be approved, you need to drop other ad networks you might be using off.

Based on everything that has been outlined so far, there isn’t always a perfect time to send in an AdSense application to make money off your website, but it should definitely be attempted in the case that you fill all of their terms and that you have followed all of the tips that have been mentioned above and you have content that can be considered good enough. If this is the case, you can easily go ahead with the application and hope to receive a positive result.

In the case that you do not get it right the first time, come back on this lift of tips and double check to see whether you fulfil everything out correctly as knowing how to get your application accepted is no easy thing either.

From experience, to have your Adsense application approved swiftly by Adsense team, you should note the followings:

    1. Have at least 20 hand written original content on a particular niche in your blog.

    2. Do some search engine optimizations
    a. Have a good navigation
    b. Use a SEO friendly template

    3. Let your new blog exist for about 3 weeks

With these in place, apply for Adsense and trust me it will be approved.
