Using WhatsApp for businesses

December 8, 2014 By Daniel Dob Leave a Comment

Many people who have heard of WhatsApp won’t have it down as an app which is used by businesses; however, it’s amazing how much it could actually help your company. WhatsApp is an instant messenger app which allows you to quickly communicate with other people. It’s also a free and easy way to send photos to your friends or other people and it’s just as simple to send videos too. If you’re familiar with technology, you’ll know that it can be quite expensive sending images and videos via text message, so it’s great if you can keep these costs down as a business. Whether you’re a large business or small company, WhatsApp has something to offer you.

Running a business comes with a lot of responsibility, and in order for everything to run smoothly, you need to make sure that there is effective communication. Not only should you be communicating effectively with all employees, but they should also be able to communicate with each other. All customers should be able to contact you easily. If you have a large business, you might find that you can afford to have better programs than WhatsApp, or you’d just like something which seems more professional. However, if you’re a sole trader or you have a small family business, it’s definitely a good app to use. For example, if you have a small hairdressing business, it’s a great way to send photos and quick messages to your clients if they want to discuss a particular hairstyle with you. They can also send pictures to you and it makes it much easier to quickly discuss the products and services you have on offer.

Because WhatsApp works by using your phone number, you don’t have to worry about giving people a username in order for them to contact you. As long as they have your phone number, they will be able to contact you on WhatsApp. You can keep a log of all the images and videos which have been sent to you from each user, and if you want to customise your profile, you can change the profile picture and add a status.

For traders who deal with clients on a daily basis, WhatsApp is definitely a good app to use. It’s highly valuable to small businesses that need to keep costs down, and it’s very easy for customers to use as long as they have a smartphone.

Based on everything that has been mentioned so far, have you changed your mind about using WhatsApp in your business? As mentioned earlier, I really think that live chat can greatly improve both customer relations, but also relations between employees, as it simply makes everything faster and easier from all the points of view.
