Before I came to know about Screenleap I normally use Skype for my screen sharing, whenever I want to show someone in a different location my laptop screen but then it’s always stressful as the person will have to create a Skype account if he does not already have one. With Screenleap I can now be able to share my screen with friends no matter their locations.
Screen Sharing with Screenleap:
Visit Screenleap today and create an account, it won’t take you a minute to complete your registration. No verification needed.
If you already have an account, simply click on ‘Already have an account’ to login just below the registration form. You can as well sign in With Google.
Once you are logged in, you can share your screen with your friends privately or publicly for all to see. If you invited some of your friends to join a screen share, the registered members will be listed on the left hand side.
There are two ways you can share your screen using Screenleap; you can either use the ‘Broadcast my screen” option which normally has a permanent link of www.screenleap.com/yourusername. You friends can bookmark this link for easy access.
Or you can use the ‘Share privately’ option. When you select the share privately option, a plugin pop will appear as indicated on the image below. Click the ‘Always run on this site’ option.
After a while, security information will appear, check the ‘Always trust content from this publisher’ check box and click ‘Run’.
Next your screen will become visible and your screen address will be displayed, copy the address and send I to anyone, when they click on it your screen will load on their browser and they can start seeing what you are doing on your screen.
You can also decide to share some part of your screen, so from the screenleap control menu, you can choose to share your entire screen or just some portion of your screen.
You can also resize the size of the screen portion you want to share by dragging and sides of the green rectangle closer. The pause and stop screen sharing options are also on the screenleap control menu.
Now i hope you can share your screen with your friends easily. Screen sharing could be used to teach friends in far away land from their browser.
