Mobile Phone Tools we under-utilize

January 15, 2013 By Nwosu Desmond 2 Comments

Mobile Phone Tools: Have you ever missed an appointment just because you failed to set a reminder on your phone? Its so annoying when your partner can’t even remember your birthday or anniversary.  Most people under-utilize their phones, it’s a common thing to see someone searching for a piece of paper where he jotted down something very important to him.

It’s a common practice for so many people just to make & receive calls with their mobile phones, maybe send and receive SMS alone. A typical mobile phone is equipped with a lot of important tools that could help make your life easier. I am going to look at some of these tools in this article that we often time under-utilize.

Some Mobile Phone Tools we Under-utilize:

Mobile Phone Tools we under-utilizeCalendar: The mobile phone is equipped with the Calendar tool which is one of the most important tools in a mobile phone. With the Calendar tool, you can set reminders for important meetings, anniversaries, memo and mostly To-Do list. You don’t have to forget any important date any more or meetings and anniversaries as this tool can set off alarm to remind you on the scheduled time and date for the event. Learn to use this tool and don’t depend only on a dairy for such notices.

Converter: This is another important tool we often times don’t use. The converter tool is loaded with a lot of interesting conversion types; it could be currency conversion, temperature conversion, distance conversion, pressure, mass conversions etc.  its common to see someone looking for a converter to convert one thing into another when he actually has one in his mobile phone.

Recorder: As a blogger, ideas rush in and out of our head and if we can’t take it down we may lose it. A friend of mine who is a musician uses this mobile phone tool to its fullest potentials as he has to record any rap, chorus or hook that comes to his mind and play it back later. In some mobile phones you can use the Recorder tool to record ongoing call conversations, and there is no better evidence than one from the offender’s voice.

Notes: Now this is where bloggers and any other person is missing out. If you are not using the Notes tool in your mobile phone then you have been under-utilizing your mobile phone indeed. I often use the notes to jot down blogging ideas that rush into my head whenever it does. I take important notes in seminars, churches, events etc using this amazing tool. Don’t miss out of that important points ever again, jot them down on your mobile phone with the Note mobile phone tools.

Calculator: When was the last time you used the calculator tool on your mobile phone? Do you find it handy? Yes I do! I often use the calculator tool on my mobile phone to make simple calculations. With this tool there is no room for mathematical errors. Stop making guesses just because you forgot there is a calculator tool on your mobile phone.

I have seen some idiots which download or buy applications which are similar to listed ones. These people are just too lazy to find what is in their phone. But i am frequent user of these specially Calculator and Notes. I note down my possible Article names in my Notes. Thanks for such a nice post Nwsou

Thanks for your comment, i feel bad when i see someone under-utilizing their mobile phone tools and some even buy apps with similar features just because they cannot explore their phones and take full advantage of the free apps on it.
