Maybe you upgraded your mobile device to a Custom ROM and suddenly don’t like the Custom ROM and want to revert to the original Stock ROM your device came with or messed up your device during a rooting or flashing process and want to go back to your device’s original Stock ROM and now you are searching the whole internet for where to download Stock ROMs for your device be it Android, Blackberry or even Windows phones.

With Stock ROMs you can unroot your device and remove the ClockworkMod Recovery and SuperUser Binary you installed. You can even claim your device warranty rights with a Stock ROM installed on it even after long use of Custom ROMs on it in case of damage.

Stock ROMs or Shipped ROMs as commonly called will simply revert your phone back to how it was when it was “Shipped” from the manufacturer. How to install a Stock ROM on a phone

After downloading the right Stock ROM for your device, Different phone models have different methods of restoring to its Stock ROMs, Samsung phones firmware files are flashed through tool called Odin. Sony has their flashtool to flash firmware. Similarly HTC has RUU wizard namely Rom Update Utility.

For HTC Android phone it is a bit simpler, simply connect your device via a USB to your PC and run the RUU exe file and wait for your device to complete the installation. Reboot your device to its original Stock ROM.
