August 8, 2012 By Nwosu Desmond 4 Comments

Social media has become an integral part of our everyday lives. It has definitely changed the way we socialize. But then it extends personal level, it transcends into our business marketing strategies. Social media can be a commanding drive force to a successful business if well managed. So its importance can never be over emphasized.

Being updated with what is happening in the social media is a habit that has affected a lot of people worldwide. People spend countless number of hours checking their social circles for the latest happenings. That is why I am writing this post to show you an easier way of handling your social media demands. Adding your favorite social shortcuts on your Desktop will make it even more fun.

Add Social Shortcuts to Your Desktop with Pokki

How to Add Social Shortcuts to your Desktop with Pokki:

Visit Pokki and download and install the Pokki app on your Desktop. On successful installation, choose your favorite social media networks and download them as well.

Simply hover your mouse over the social media you will want to install, and the download button will be revealed simply click on the “Download” button and after a while it will be downloaded and installed on your desktop.

Then the shortcuts you installed will be pinned on your taskbar as illustrated by the image below.

Click on each and every one of them and a mini-browser will be displayed asking for your login details, enter correctly your login details and submit the form.  When you get a notification, the number of notifications will be displayed on the respective social media shortcut icon and clicking on it will open a mini-browser for you to check it out.

Pokki is a simple way of keeping an eye to all your favorite social media networks at the same time while carrying out other tasks on the computer. As you can see from my image above, I am keeping an eye on my Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Gmail etc social media networks while I still do other things like write this blog post and probably read Arsenal sports news of course.

Do you know of any other apps one can use to manage one’s social media just like Pokki? Please use the comment box below to share with me.  I hope you find this post interesting enough to share with your friends. Use the share buttons to share.
