October 20, 2014 By Nwosu Desmond 8 Comments

One of the biggest challenges of blogging is in generating good traffic because the success of your blog depends on it. I never realize my blog could become a business or brand that brings money until the first time i receive some payment from Adsense, few guest post and affiliate sales. Since then, i have been surfing the internet on how and ways to promote my blog.

The main reasons to promote a blog are to attract new readers, new visitors, increased pageviews and buyers which bring about an increase in earnings. Here are the things I do to promote my blog which I believe you also can do to help get your bog across to a wider audience. Check out the 7 ways to promote your blog below and i hope you can share your views on them on the comment section below.

7 Ways to Promote Your Blog

1 Blog Regularly: One of the ways to promote your blog and get it blog in shape, attract readers and also increase the blog popularity is to publish top quality content on a regular basis. When I decide to devote the time used in chatting on social media websites like Facebook or watching movies to my blog, I observed an increase in traffic. You could decide to post content weekly, daily or few times per week which is very good.

Publishing good content regularly makes your readers return for more. Ensure to publish content that adds value to the lives of your readers or solves their problems, that way you can always get them to return for more and this will improve your return visitors and in general your blog traffic and probably earnings.

3. Paid adverts: This is a fast way to get your site across to thousands of people with your money in shorter time. It involves exposing your site through online paid advertising programs like Google Adwords, Facebook ads, Addynamo, Yahoo ads and many more. It brings instant traffic that converts.

You need to determine where your potential audience hang out, if its on Facebook then Facebook ads can work like magic for you. A good social media campaign can promote your site and bring about more audience and of course earnings. You should consider reaching more audience via paid ads.

I am not a very big fan of Paid Adverts but I would say Blog Commenting has been the most effective method for me.

About Writing Regularly, I strongly agree with you on that. Remember, it is not <strikeDaily. It is REGULARLY.

Publishing posts daily just ruins that quality of your content. You should avoid that because Quality is Everything.

Thanks for writing this informational article :)
