The Windows 8 Metro UI is the new start screen for the latest Microsoft operating system – Windows 8. Windows 8 apps can be downloaded from the Windows 8 apps store and installed on your machine and the apps shortcuts will be housed on the Windows 8 Metro UI. There are so many Windows 8 apps out there for different reasons and purposes; I have personally found many of them useful.
As for me a typical internet user and a blogger, there are Windows 8 apps I wouldn’t go without every day, so I intend to share with you some of the favorite Windows 8 apps I use daily. The newly introduced Windows 8 Metro UI and Windows 8 apps have clearly shown the direction Windows OS will be taking from now. These apps have added quite a lot to the user experience judging from my usage of Windows 8 and its apps. Here are some of my favorite daily used Windows 8 apps on my Windows 8 Metro UI:

Skype: Skype is one of my favorite Windows 8 apps used in staying in touch with my friends and family. Skype helps me to stay informed about happenings with my friends through video and voice calls and instant messaging. I enjoy the Windows 8 app Skype more because my messages are delivered straight to me no matter what am doing and the free voice/video Skype calls I make with my fellow bloggers worldwide.

Facebook: One in every six people in the world at least are on Facebook, and as a blogger social media signal is very vital to search engine ranking so I have to be actively involved with social media and Facebook happens to be my favorite. Facebook is Windows 8 app that allows me to socialize. Facebook on a Windows 8 Metro UI is definitely an awesome addition and I use it daily.
Tweetro: Tweetro is also another of my favorite Windows 8 apps on my Windows 8 Metro UI. With Tweetro I handle all my Twitter tasks easily. Tweetro allows me to post tweets, compose and send DM’s, reply tweets etc. I couldn’t have mentioned my favorite Windows 8 apps without mentioning Tweetro and I use it every day.
Modern Reader: Modern Reader is yet another Windows 8 app on my Windows 8 Metro UI. Modern reader allows me to easily check/read my favorite feeds without stepping out of the modern UI environment. Modern reader allows me to add feeds and every morning I open my modern reader to read my favorite feeds.

Dropbox: Dropbox is yet another of my favorite Windows 8 app on my Windows 8 Metro UI, with Dropbox app I can easily browse through all my files, view images, watch videos with just a tap. I can even share files from Dropbox on my Windows 8 Metro UI with Share Charm. I use Dropbox app everyday to store documents I may need outside my computer.
TeamViewer Touch: TeamViewer Touch is a Modern UI app on my Windows 8 Metro UI that allows me to control any computer from my Metro screen. I don’t have to go to my sister’s house to fix her computer, else I will be going there every day because she always run into small issues always. With TeamViewer Touch I can remotely fix any problems she has which happens almost every day. This is definitely one of my favorite Windows 8 apps.
ActiveNote: ActiveNote Windows 8 app has been awesome. With ActiveNote I plan my tasks and set up reminders at specific time and dates. I never missed any other appointment since I started using this Windows 8 app, I don’t have to check the calendar every morning for scheduled tasks. ActiveNote simply manages my schedules and reminds me on set time and date. I can also mark completed tasks so I can easily differentiate between them and uncompleted ones on ActiveNote. I use ActiveNote every day.

Music: Music is another Windows 8 app on my Windows 8 Metro UI, I play and manage my personal collections, create and edit playlists of my favorite songs, buy songs and albums to add to your personal collection right from my Metro UI using this great Widows 8 app. I can instantly stream millions of music for free on my PC using this app. After all, all work and no play makes “Mavtrevor” a dull boy. Music on my ears when I write makes it easier for me, so I use this app every day.
PhotoFunia: PhotoFunia is yet another Windows 8 app on my Windows 8 Metro UI. With PhotoFunia I can edit and add effects to pictures right on my Metro UI. PhotoFunia is a cloud-based photo editing tool that gives you a fun filled experience. You have to use it to see what it can do, I use it always to enhance my images and add effects.
WordWeb: I use WordWeb for quick references to the meaning of words, definitions, spelling suggestions etc. As a blogger I always come across words I may not know the meaning or easily remember its spelling, sometimes I may want another word similar in meaning or opposite to another, I quickly consult my WordWeb for assistance. The best part is that you do not even need an internet connection to use this Windows 8 app.
