What do Nigerians really want in a Smartphone? While popular phone makers like Samsung, Apple, Techno and Nokia are trying to rival each other with new technological features such as fingerprint scanners, 3D graphics, eyeball tracking technology and advanced camera and security technology, you may be surprised that these may not really be what the Nigerian consumers are looking for in smartphones.
Now the question is “What do the Nigerian consumers REALLY want in a smartphone”? In this article, we will find out what features people are really considering before making a choice of smartphone. I have attached a poll in this article to help us determine what people will want most in a smartphone.
As new smartphones are released into the Nigerian mobile market with one new feature or the other every now and then, I will like to find out what the average Nigerian consumer really wants from a smartphone.
In this poll I have only listed the features why people will want to buy a smartphone. These features include Longer battery life, Fingerprint scanning security, Voice control, Eyeball tracking, Fingerprint-proof screen, Waterproof body, A zoom camera lens, 3D display / graphics, Flexible phone, Projector, and Mobile payment technology etc.
Most times people find out they do not use most of the features in their smartphones. So why buy a smartphone based on features you may never use or regularly use?
Smartphone makers should realize what we really need in a smartphone and go back to the basics especially in the areas they need to improve on.

Hey sir Nwosu, I know it’s long since have last drop by here and i want to believe you know why, don’t you? :) Well, you are doing a great job down here sir.
Sir, it’s true that Nigerians and not only Nigerians alone but a great potion of the world always at every point in time watch out for massive and well structured phone and I must admit I am one of these folks.
I have voted some of the things i look out for and I sure also watch out for 3D graphics but I have went ahead to chose the ones I’d love and appreciate if it’s in a smartphone I want to buy.

Before reading this post I thought if I am not Nigerian should I read this post. But the word Smartphone forced me to read it and much impressed with the way you described every point quite clearly.
After reading it the first thought came into my mind is why Nigerians are quite similar to majority of the people of this world. You got my point?
