The new Facebook Timeline

December 30, 2011 By Nwosu Desmond 3 Comments

The Facebook timeline is the newest innovative addition by the Facebook crew. The Timeline gives one an easy way to rediscover  the things one shared, and collects all your best moments in a single place, I can’t believe it’s so easy to see my first ever Facebook status update, the very first friend I added on Facebook. The Facebook Timeline has been released for both IPhone and IPod Touch device, Android and also the web.

The Facebook Timeline is entirely a new kind of profile. The Timeline don’t just  give one an easy way to rediscovering  the things one shared but it also lets you share new experiences.

The New Facebook Timeline

TO GET STARTED: When you upgrade to the new Timeline, you’ll have 7 days to review your profile before it can go public, though you can decide to publish it anytime within the review period but if you wait it’ll automatically go live after 7 days. The new Timeline will replace your profile, now I know you are worried to hear that, no need to be because all your stories and photos will still be there. To view how other people will see your Timeline, you can choose the “view as” at the gear menu at the top of your Timeline. You can view your Timeline as a specific friend or the public.

The new Timeline also have the hide stories in the cases of the things you may want to show or hide. The new tool called the Activity Log will show you in a Timeline right from the day you joined Facebook all your Activities on Facebook. You can easily find a story by navigating through the year and then month and then day. Every single update you have ever made on Facebook, every single friend you have ever added on Facebook, every single photo you have ever uploaded to Facebook and a lot more all are displayed in a neatly designed format on the new Timeline.

Now I know you are already itching to get started. Simply go to the Introducing Timeline page and click the “Get Timeline”.

I love the new facebook timeline but the problem with it is that it does not have a good interface compare to the old one.
