SocialFolders: Sync and Backup your social media files with your PC

August 19, 2012 By Nwosu Desmond 1 Comment

With the increase in our social network activities we share files, photos, documents on several social networks. SocialFolders is the best way to access and manage all the contents you have online. It’s simply like a Dropbox for social networks.

Imagine you have pictures shared on Facebook, Videos on Youtube, spreadsheet on Google Docs etc and you want to access them offline, SocialFolders is your best app or service to allow you easy access to all your social media files at a time. Instead of visiting the individual sites to manage your files, you can simply use SocialFolders to manage your social media files.

SocialFolders is a web app that syncs all your social media files with your computer. You can see it as an online backup for your social media accounts. With SocialFolders you can backup your files and also be able to manage your online contents. You can easily upload files to your accounts even without visiting the site. Available services you can connect to SocialFolders include Flickr, Box, Facebook, Instagram, Picasa, Photobucket, YouTube and Google Docs etc.

How to use SocialFolders:

Simply download SocialFolders app from their website and install on your computer. On successful installation create a free account via the installed app.

Then you will be prompted to connect your accounts to the app, then you can choose from Box, Evernote, Facebook, Flickr, Google Docs,Instagram, Photobucket, Picasa, SmugMug, SoundCloud, Twitter and Youtube accounts to connect to your SocialFolders.

Then a SocialFolders folder will be added to your computer for every single social media account you connect to your SocialFolders account where its files will be stored. So when you upload a new picture to Facebook or create a new Evernote note, the new file with be automatically sync’d with the corresponding SocialFolder folder on your PC.

In case you do not notice a quick synchronization of your files to your SocialFolders, you may have to manually refresh your folders. SocialFolders will allow you up to 2000 files quota to backup and sync your files. To add a file to any folder in SocialFolders, you can simply drag and drop the file to the corresponding folder you want to upload it to and it will be automatically posted to the correcponding online account. So if you want to upload some photos to your Flickr account, all you need to do is drag and drop the photos to the Flickr folder in your SocialFolders folder and it will be uploaded to your Flickr account.

I hope you can now be able to backup and manage your social media files better and easily. If you find above post on “SocialFolders: Sync and Backup your social media files with your PC” interesting and useful. Please share this post with your friends using the share tools on the left hand side of the browser or the ones under this post.
