Send your future self emails with these sites

January 29, 2014 By Nwosu Desmond 6 Comments

Imagine sending yourself an email that is scheduled to be delivered to you some time in the future – say 5 years from now. Maybe there are things you will like to remember on a specific date in the future, you can actually schedule an email to be delivered to you on such dates in the future using the web resources I am going to share with you in this article.

Memories are often times less accurate than emails and as such you can use these services to remind yourself of your objectives and evaluate how much you have met them in the future. You can also use this service to send some other persons emails in the future. Imagine leaving a message for your loved ones to be received some time in the future. There are some awesome web resources you can use to send your future self emails in the future.

FutureMe:

FutureMe is based on the principle that memories are less accurate than emails. FutureMe is aimed at providing you with an opportunity of sending your future self some words of inspiration, or remind yourself of some objectives or pacts you have taken now etc.

WhenSend:

WhenSend is yet another free service that allows you to send your future self emails now. You can also use WhenSend to email other people in the future or remind yourself of something in the future. You can also use this service to send yourself of your friends or family members’ birthday messages even before their birthday.

OhLife:

OhLife is yet another service that allows you to send your future self emails in the future. Simply type the content you want to send yourself in the future in the message body and add your email address or any other email you want to send it to and set the date you want it to be delivered and submit.

Bored.com:

This is yet another free service that lets you send an email to yourself in the future. Simply fill out the form and add your email and choose a date and send yourself a mail in the future.

Letter2Future:

Letter 2 future lets you schedule a letter to yourself or your friends in the future. This service is also free and one of the best I have ever used.

There are no guarantees these sites may be there in the future to send your emails or that your email address will still be functional till then, so I will advise you use popular email services like Yahoo, Gmail and Hotmail that can last long in the email business.

You can also use either of Google, Yahoo or Microsoft web based calendars to schedule emails to yourself in the future. Simply create a new event in any of the calendars and set the event date same as the email delivery date, then set an email reminder 5 – 10 minutes from the start of the event.

    Hi Nwosu,

Never thought that you can schedule your email for coming time. I’ve been using reminder options on smartphone to remember anything important that I need to do in future.
