Samsung Galaxy S4: Magic from Design to Use

April 10, 2013 By Liza John Leave a Comment

This phone is perhaps one of the most awaited smart phones and finally it is here! Samsung genies have worked their magic and cast their spells and the Samsung Galaxy S4 is the final product we have all been waiting for – The Beast!

Samsung finally revealed its latest masterpiece, the Samsung Galaxy S4 on March 14th, 2013. With a 1.9GHz quad core processor, 2 GB RAM, 4.99’’ display capable of running 1920×1080 HD, this smartphone is way too smart! The dual camera feature allows the user to take pictures and videos of their friends and family or place and at the same time put the user in the photo or video. Other features include air gesture control where you do not need to be in contact with the screen to scroll up and down. Handy in situations where your hands are busy or dirty.

Samsung Galaxy S4: Your New Best Friend!

Samsung Galaxy S4

Samsung has taken steps to make your smart phone your best friend. Let us picture a person suffering from blood pressure or (to go to the opposite pole) an athlete building up his running stamina. The Samsung Galaxy S4 now includes a Calorie Counter and even a Heart Rate Monitor. Moreover, it can be amazingly used to detect blood pressure and sugar levels precisely using additional equipment. This feature, the S Health, promises this smart phone to be your personal pet doctor.

Another great feature is the S Translator and it is simple as it sounds. You do not know the language you want to speak in, just take out your Samsung Galaxy S4 and speak into it and it will translate your words in the language you want it to. Additionally, it works in the reverse direction. When the other person replies in another language, the Samsung Galaxy S4 writes their answer on the phone.

The Personal Touch

The Samsung Knox feature allows the user to distribute the phone according to work and home usage. It is a similar feature to that available in some Blackberry phones. The concept (and the promise) is that if the phone is a company phone, the company will not be able to access the data stored in the personal section.

Apart from that Samsung has also included its own Samsung Hub where digital content such is music, games, and videos is available.

The Bottom Line

The Samsung Galaxy S4 may not appear to be much different than its predecessor Samsung Galaxy S3 but it has come a long way in the software zone. The only major differences in hardware are the increase in size from 4.8 inches to almost a 5 inch, and then the back of the phone feels different and gives a sense of improvement and change from the previous version. The model shall be available from 26th of April in UK and according to Samsung, it will be available on 3G and 4G (and other major) networks. The price has not been announced yet and we eagerly wait for it.
