My best instant messaging clients – Netmediablog

Instant messaging clients: Instant messaging is one of the best ways to stay connected with our friends and families from all over the world. Just as the name implies, instant messaging is a real-time communication over the internet with another user in a different location. Instant messaging could be text-based, video or audio calling. Now almost every instant messaging client is both audio and video call capable. Based on this I want to introduce you to my best instant messaging clients. My choice for the best instant messaging clients is based on ease of use and features.

Best instant messaging clients:

Google Talk: Google Talk popularly known as GTalk is an instant messaging client developed by Google Inc. This application is compatible with several operating systems like Windows (XP,  Server 2003,  Vista, Windows 7), Android, Blackberry and the new Google Chrome OS operating system. GTalk is both text and voice communication capable as you can make both audio and video calls with it with another user.  With GTalk you can chat right from within your Gmail, iGoogle and orkut. You can send and receive files from another user in another location. Even AIM users can now use this instant messaging client. Trillian: Trillian is a multiprotocol instant messaging client as it is compatible with several operating systems like Windows, Mac OC X, Android, iOS, Blackberry OS and web.  It ability to connect to multiple chat networks at a time make it stand out. It can connects with IM services like AIM, ICO, Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo messenger, Bonjour, XMPP, Facebook, Skype, Twitter, MySpace, Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo Mail etc. Trillian’s design is so cool it attracted me to it first. Digsby: Just like I said in my earlier blog post, Digsby is my favourite instant messaging client for several reasons, its ease of use and features. Digsby is also a multiprotocol client, Digsby lets you chat withal your friends on AIM, MSN, Yahoo, ICQ, Jabber (Google Talk, Facebook Chat, Live Journal’s IM, et al.) and even MySpace IM . Pidgin: Pidgin is yet another instant messaging client that lets you connect and chat from multiple chat networks at a time. Pidgin connects with chat networks like AIM, Google Talk, IRC, MySpaceIm, Sametime, Zephyr,Bonjour, Groupwise,MSN,SILC,XMPP,Gadu-Gadu,ICQ,MXit,SIMPLE,Yahoo etc and can even support many more with Plugins. Miranda IM: Miranda IM yet another multiprotocol instant messaging client designed by Microsoft. Miranda IM will allow you to connect to your various IM accounts like  AIM, Facebook chat, Gadu-Gadu, IAX, ICQ, IRC, Jabber, MSN, Netsend, Tlen, Yahoo, and much more.     There are so many things 2go cant do, and 2go is a mobile instant messaging client not meant for PC’s. 2go cant make audio or video calling….2go cant exchange files or even share screen.
