November 21, 2012 By Nwosu Desmond Leave a Comment

Have you ever forgotten the password to a very important PDF file and you are faced with how to remove the password to read it? Important documents are most times in PDF formats and as a sort of security some of them are locked with passwords, so even if it gets into a wrong hand you cannot read it without the password.

We always come across password protected PDF files and when faced with this situation I want to teach you an easy way to unlock and read your document. So let’s get started…

How to unlock PDF files using BeCyPDFMetaEdit:

Step 1:

To be able to unlock a PDF file, you will need the help of a little program called BeCyPDFMetaEdit. So simply download BeCyPDFMetaEdit and install it on your PC.

Note: BeCyPDFMetaEdit works on only Windows PCs alone.

Step 2:

On completion of the installation, launch the just installed BeCyPDFMetaEdit application. It will prompt you to open the PDF file you want to unlock. Before you open the file, change the mode to ‘Complete Rewrite’ as indicated on the image below. Open PDF file you want to unlock.
