Bookmarking your favourite websites makes it easier for you to remember the url and visit without having to memorize the urls. But there are also possibilities of a browser crash which may eventually lead to losing your bookmarks. Having a backup for your bookmarks is a sure way to keep safe your favourite websites. I will show you how to backup your browser bookmarks.
Let’s use Firefox as an example here. First open your Firefox browser, click on Bookmarks and then chose Organize Bookmarks. Then choose “all Bookmarks” and choose backup from the import and backup menu. Then choose your save location and name the file whatever you wish to and then click save.

Then to restore it follow same process and choose restore from the import and backup dropdown list and choose where you saved the backup and restore from there. Remember to always backup on a USB in case of a system crash or hardrive failure.
You can also use the Bookmark Backup from Vag-Labs to back up all your different browsers bookmarks at a go.
Simply install the application, then choose the backup folder on your system and the location you’ll want to back up tom then use the backup or restore options to backup or restore your bookmarks from multiple browsers including Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera , Apple Safari , Konqueror, XBEL,Google Bookmarks, Delicious, Delicious/Yahoo! etc.
