Google Tricks – 7 Things you never knew Google could do

Google is simply more than a search engine. There are more important uses of Google than we know and use. Even the tech savvy ones may not know some of the Google tricks am about to teach you in this article.

After reading this article, you won’t only use Google for your searches anymore. You would probably use Google for more important things. You will agree with me that Google is more than a search engine before you get to the end of this article.

7 Amazing Google Tricks you may not know:

1. Use Google as timer: Simply type in “set timer 10 minutes” on Google search to set a 10 minutes timer with an alarm when the time runs out. Of course you can set any amount of time. You can use this Google trick to set timer for tasks while you are working on PC. You can also stop or reset the timer as you can see on the image below.

2. Find flight schedule: Another amazing Google trick you may never have known about is using Google to find flight information. Simply type flight 2120 us airways (where 2120 is the flight number) and Google will display the flight schedule for the plane you asked for the day.

3. Find songs by your favorite artist: You can also use Google to find songs by your favorite artists. Simply search for song by artist and Google will list songs by such artist.

4. Tip Calculator: Google can also serve as a tip calculator for you. So if you want to leave a tip at the end of your meal, you can easily use Google as a tip calculator by simply typing in tip calculator on Google search to calculate your tip.

5. Find movie release date: Google can also be used to find any movie release date. Simply add the name of the movie you want to find its release date and add release date to it. For example in my illustration below, I searched for Robocop 2 and it quickly gave me the release date.

6. TV Shows Schedule: Do you know you can find full schedules for your favorite TV shows with Google? Simply type in the name of the TV show and  episode and Google will show you the program schedules.

7. Find time for Sunrise and Sunset of any city: Do you know Google can tell you the time of sunrise and sunset of any city in the world? Simply search for “sunrise city name” or “sunset city name” where city name is the name of the city you want to search.
