Just recently the Facebook Home was launched and is available on the Android Google Store. This app brings a total new experience for Android users, the Facebook Home service fetches your content right to your phone’s home screen. With this app you do not need to install or use any Facebook app, and this new app will literally turn your Android phone into a Facebook phone.
After its launch and release on the Google Play store, many Android users have noticed they cannot use this app as it is not compatible on some Android phones. The Facebook Home app was coded to accept only the latest version of Android so some Android users like me with HTC Widefire could not download and install this app on our devices.
Facebook Home
I almost gave up on the Facebook Home app until I stumbled upon a post on XDA Developers forum, where a brilliant hacker has modded the Facebook Home app to accept all versions of Android. He posted that he modded the Facebook Home app to run on all devices, without touching build.prop and this modded app does not require root.
Click here to download the modified Facebook Home app and optional Facebook Messenger.
Extract the file and install the Facebook app (com.facebook.katana), then install the Facebook Home Launcher (com.facebook.home) and lastly install the Facebook Messenger app (com.facebook.orca).
Go to the Facebook app settings and enable Facebook Home and then restart your device. If you face any issues, reboot into recovery and wipe dalvik cache.
The Facebook Home is only supported for the following Android phones:
HTC One X
One X+
Samsung Galaxy S III
Galaxy Note II
HTC
With HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4 to be added in the future.

No one knows when Facebook will provide support for more devices, but with this modded version you can as well use Facebook Home on any Android device. This modded Facebook Home works on both rooted and unrooted phones.

Hi Nwosu,
Thanks for sharing this post with the BizSugar community. I’m wondering. Do you think Facebook Home will be important for business users or just for casual users? How would you use it for your business?
Though Facebook is mostly used casually, it has also being a great business tool and as so business users can always find a way of using any new feature of Facebook just like the Facebook Home to their business advantage.
