BBM for Android app on Beta Testing now

Few months ago on this blog I published a post titled “Blackberry Messenger BBM to Support Android and iOS” this summer, well the good news is that BBM for Android app is currently undergoing some beta testing.  Rumor had it that the BBM for Android app will be released on June 27 which has long passed but BBM for Android is apparently still on track to be released before the end of this Summer.

I can now tell you that Blackberry has sent out some limited number of the BBM for Android app to some group of users for testing. The multi-platform version of the Blackberry messenger app is even closer to release than many would’ve taught.

The status of the BBM for iOS app cannot be confirmed now as Blackberry has not disclosed anything about this. No exact date has been announced by Blackberry for the official release of the BBM for Android app but the company has promised to deliver their promise before the end of this summer.

The summer is just a month away from ending and I expect the BBM for Android app to hit the Google Play Store soon.  If you are an Android fan I know how excited you will be right now at this news. I am excited too and I know you are as well.

The BBM for Android app will really improve instant messaging among Android users with their Blackberry users counterparts the world over.  Few images of the BBM for Android app have leaked on the internet already which mostly shows the part of the app’s UI.

Other instant messaging apps like Whatsapp and the rest are definitely going to face a great competition with the BBM for Android app when it’s finally released.
